I was most afraid to go back and play because of what I experienced in St. Louis. I was afraid. But I knew from my faith and reading the word and going through life that God will be with me if I walk away from the game or if I go back. But the thing I'm most afraid of I probably should go back at," he says, reflecting on his internal struggle.
Redemption in Philadelphia
After spending time as a backup with the Chiefs, Foles returned to the Eagles, where his journey had begun. In a turn of events that seemed almost scripted, just eighteen months later, he led the Eagles to their first Super Bowl triumph. His performance was nothing short of miraculous, as he became the only quarterback to both throw and catch a touchdown pass in postseason history.
